Excellent value great three night stay, young people (group of Year six children) enjoyed it so much. It was great for them to learn, develop their new skills and work as a team. Food was good, staff very friendly and helpful - our leader was brilliant, she was very understanding kind and friendly. Would recommend to schools groups and large families and other groups.
Go for the accommodation in the hall itself or rough it in tents, we certainly preferred the manor house!
I never went myself but my teenage daughter & her friend had a great time. There is virtually no mobile signal there as it is in the middle of nowhere - she was upset by this but as parents, it's great to get them off their phones! Be aware though, the roads to the venue are single track and some idiots still think it's ok to drive fast.
I went here a few days ago on a Year 6 residential and it was amazing! The activities are amazing, my personal favourites being the giant swing and canoeing. You don't have to do any activities you don't want to do, good for me as I'm scared of heights. The food is great and they have up to three options on the menu each day, and other things that are available (soup, pasta, bread rolls etc) every day which is good for fussy eaters. The instructors are enthusiastic and friendly and the cabins we stayed in are clean and tidy with comfy beds. I would definitely recommend this place!
6th time visiting with my guide unit and we weren't disappointed! A wonderfull weekend full of a great range of activities from a giant swing to a sensory trail around the woods.
All the staff at Boreatton Park were a great help and genuinely happy to work with us on our different activities. I get the feeling they have more fun than the visitors do! The food was as excellent as the first time I went and had a great range with suitable options for vegetarians and those with allergies.
I can't wait to go back next year :)
We were in tents for our stay, not the best accommodation as they could have provided a plug or at the very least a light. Lots of activities and things to do, and vending machines are placed out around the park. The best thing about this PGL park was the food. It was amazing. I have been to many other PGL’s and the food was terrible. However the food here was tremendous. Every meal was a proper filling meal, including breakfast which was a full English, and cereal was also provided as well as yoghurts and fruit. Hot drinks and flavoured water was served with every meal and lunch and dinner were also tasty with lots of options. However the organisation of the tables was not very good as I had to stand up for 2 meals during my stay. All in all, I enjoyed my stay here and very few improvements are actually required. Lots to do such as shooting and rafting and in a very nice location!
Just got back from the time of my life! Had so much fun... I loved the giant swing and aeroball. Absolute blast of a time even after injuring myself, staff were very comforting, understanding and helpful in many situations. Food is great... Good for picky eaters that don't know what to have. They also don't force you to do anything you don't want to, meaning you get to choose if you want or don't want to do something.
Loved my time here definitely recommend! Enjoy your stay!
Thank you....
Strongly recommended for all aged kids. Wonderful experience.
